Is stem cell therapy for Lupus (SLE) FDA-approved?
No generic stem-cell or exosome product is FDA-approved as broad lupus treatment. Product-specific trials or approvals in cancer or another autoimmune disease do not authorise the proposed lupus use.
How stem cells are studied for Lupus (SLE)
Systemic lupus erythematosus is a heterogeneous autoimmune disease that may affect skin, joints, blood, kidneys, nervous system and other organs. MSCs, haematopoietic transplantation and engineered immune-cell approaches have different aims and risks. They must not be grouped as one stem-cell treatment or described as universally resetting immunity.
