Question

How long does stem cell therapy for Lupus (SLE) last?

Remission duration and relapse risk are intervention- and patient-specific. A temporary biomarker or symptom change does not show durable disease control or prevention of organ damage, and repeat infusions do not prove maintenance benefit.

How stem cells are studied for Lupus (SLE)

Systemic lupus erythematosus is a heterogeneous autoimmune disease that may affect skin, joints, blood, kidneys, nervous system and other organs. MSCs, haematopoietic transplantation and engineered immune-cell approaches have different aims and risks. They must not be grouped as one stem-cell treatment or described as universally resetting immunity.
