Is stem cell therapy for Knee Osteoarthritis worth it?
Outside a properly authorised study or authorised product use, evidence does not support presenting a paid cell or exosome injection as proven cartilage restoration. Independent assessment should compare established exercise, medicines, supports and surgery where appropriate.
How stem cells are studied for Knee Osteoarthritis
Knee osteoarthritis is a whole-joint disorder involving cartilage, bone, synovium, muscle and mechanics. Autologous marrow or adipose preparations, culture-expanded MSCs, stromal vascular fraction and exosomes are distinct products. An anti-inflammatory signal or injection into the joint does not establish cartilage regrowth or prevention of joint replacement.
