Question

Is stem cell therapy for COPD & Lung Disease worth it?

Outside an authorised study, current evidence does not support paying for a cell or exosome product as established COPD treatment. Independent pulmonary review should compare the protocol with smoking cessation, medicines, vaccination, rehabilitation, oxygen where indicated and exacerbation prevention.

How stem cells are studied for COPD & Lung Disease

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is persistent airflow limitation associated with airway and lung-tissue damage, commonly from smoking or other exposures. MSC and exosome research explores inflammatory and repair pathways, but intravenous distribution, laboratory signalling or an imaging change does not establish restored alveoli, improved survival or prevention of exacerbations.
