Question

What is the recovery time after stem cell therapy for Stroke Recovery?

Immediate procedural recovery is separate from neurological recovery. Follow an individual rehabilitation and prevention plan; any new facial weakness, arm weakness, speech difficulty or sudden neurological symptom is an emergency and should not wait for a research coordinator.

What the evidence shows for Stroke Recovery

Recovery varies with stroke type, location, size, time, complications and rehabilitation. Early-phase cell studies primarily assess feasibility and safety; uncontrolled functional change cannot separate the product from spontaneous recovery and rehabilitation. The NINDS stroke-recovery guide identifies rehabilitation as central to recovery, while the FDA consumer alert states that the promoted regenerative products it addresses are not approved in the United States to treat stroke.
