Question

How long does stem cell therapy for Spinal Cord Injury last?

Durable product-attributable neurological recovery has not been established for a generic cell intervention. Early sensory or motor change can reflect natural recovery, rehabilitation or measurement variation and does not prove permanent circuit repair.

How stem cells are studied for Spinal Cord Injury

Spinal cord injury varies by neurological level, completeness, cause and time since injury. Research includes neural progenitors, oligodendrocyte-lineage products, MSCs, scaffolds and exosomes with different goals and risks. An injection near or into the spinal cord does not establish cell survival, circuit integration, restored walking or recovery of bladder and bowel function.
