Question

Is stem cell therapy for Menopause & Hormonal Health FDA-approved?

No regenerative medicine therapy or exosome product is FDA-approved for menopause symptoms. An IND-authorised trial or registry listing is not product approval. In Europe, a trial authorisation is distinct from EMA marketing authorisation. Patients should verify the exact product, sponsor, registry identifier, competent authority and ethics approval.

How stem cells are studied for Menopause & Hormonal Health

Menopause is a life transition associated with changing ovarian hormone levels and symptoms that may include hot flushes, night sweats, sleep disturbance, mood symptoms and genitourinary symptoms. Evidence-based management is individualised and may include hormone therapy, non-hormonal medicines, menopause-specific cognitive behavioural therapy and local treatments depending on symptoms and risk factors. Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) and extracellular vesicles are experimental and have not established hormonal restoration, tissue rejuvenation or clinical equivalence to recommended treatment. The registry table on this page lists relevant studies and their current recruitment status.
