Is stem cell therapy for Alzheimer's Disease FDA-approved?
No regenerative medicine therapy is FDA-approved to treat Alzheimer's disease. Approval of a non-cell Alzheimer medicine does not validate a stem-cell or exosome product, and trial registration is not approval.
How stem cells are studied for Alzheimer's Disease
Alzheimer's disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder with complex amyloid, tau, inflammatory, vascular and synaptic biology. MSC, neural-cell and exosome proposals invoke anti-inflammatory, trophic or delivery mechanisms, but mechanistic plausibility does not show that an administered product reaches the brain or preserves cognition and daily function.
